B"h the days of Pesach passed cheerfully. We had the zechus to amply deliver Kimcha de Pischa - the Maos Chitin - to all the avreychim of the Kollel. Thanks to the incredibly generous donations that were made by the warm supporters of the Kollel Chatzot, each one according to his ability and even beyond it. We also merited delivering meat, fish and poultry coupons as well as a special grant for the wives of the avreychim to buy themselves something for the holiday, as a token of appreciation for the endless efforts and devotion for the Torah study at midnight. Tens of avreychim families thank heartily all those who helped them to celebrate the holidays happily and abundantly, beyond all expectations, especially in view of the overall difficult situation.
The light of Torah is shining in the world even brighter as, in spite of the global recess and in spite of the worse financial situation ever of the Kollel, after years of prayers and expectation, a new Halacha Kollel has been established by the outstanding avreychim of the Kollel Chatzot, to appoint qualified Morey Hora'ah. The Kollel opened in mid Iyar with 15 prominent scholars from the Kollel Chatzot. These Talmidey Chachomim study daily, from midday until Mayrev, Halocha le Mayse with one of the greatest Poskim and Rabbonim in Beitar, Rav Koritz shlita. The fortunate donor, who prefers to remain anonymous, made a donation for the grants of two thirds of the avreychim for a whole year! By this, she enabled the qualification of a new generation of Rabbonim that are Talmidey Chachomim, who rise to study every night. The diligence in the Kollel is remarkable, with Haloche Sheurim and monthly exams. The Seder started with Yoreh De'ah, Hilchos Bosor vCholov. Many want to join the Kollel, which in a short time has gained such good reputation. We hope that am Yisroel will contribute to the success of this project. An Yisochor Zevulun contract, signed on an adorned certificate by the scholar and the sponsor, can be made also for the study in the Halocha Kollel for a monthly donation of $300. Those who wish can have the study material emailed to them. We eagerly wait to see the Halocha Kollel flourish and grow just like Kollel Chatzot did - against all odds.
The fund of the Kollel Chatzot is in a poor situation. Ha'Rav Deutsch makes many efforts to avoid delay in payments or being unable to pay the grant to even one avreich. The situation being that bad, we appeal to all our friends to help out in any possible way, or to ask the help of any friend or relative that might be able assist to maintain the activity of the Kollel, and to join the circle of friends who hold themselves safe together by becoming partners in this sacred project. Of course, there is no possibility to accept new avreychim in this situation, so any contribution is welcome, specially, Yisochor Zevulun, which is a great zechus for the sponsor, who is considered according to the holy sefarim, as if he himself studied during the night.
The avreychim of the Kollel Chatzot arrived in large number to Meiron for the Hilulah of Rabi Shimon bar Yochay. They arrived at midnight and some spent the whole night there. There was lots of dancing and davening together with some of the Kollel's sponsors from NY, who came over to participate in the happening. The Simcha and excitement were exceptional and the Kollel's Kvitel was read and all the requested names mentioned for Yeshua and Hatzlocho for each one and his requests together with those of klal Yisroel, and in particular for the success of the Holy building, for which everyone has been waiting for long.
B"h we expect the plans of the holy building to be released soon, so as to place a tender for architects and engineers right away. After so much waiting, hoping and praying for this to happen, we hope to be able to start the work without delay, for which we need the help of our sponsors. We hope to find the donors that will be able to take upon themselves to sponsor the entire project. The beis medresh hall, the ezras noshim, the study zal and coffee room can be commemorated permanently. The mikve has already been donated b"h by one of our dear friends in NY in commemoration of one his family members. The name of the building can also be made in commemoration of your dear ones, with a prominent writing on the building front. After moving from one place to another, the students of the Kollel are looking forwards to seeing the longed for holy building, especially since the central location of the building is closer for most of the avreychim, and will enable them to spend more time learning. Observing the breathtaking landscape from the lot, one can really imagine the Kollel's building like a huge lighthouse, lighting the world 24 hours with the light of Torah and Tfilah. Great is the merit of those who will make this happen.
