In mid Iyar (May, 2009) we established the Halachah Kollel to train a future generation of halachic authorities-poskim. After learning through the night in Kollel Chatzot, the Halachah Kollel's fifteen Torah scholars devote their entire afternoon to studying practical halachah - presently the halachos of basar v'chalav -- with Rav Koritz shlita, a well-known posek residing in Beitar. The scholars learn with tremendous hasmada-diligence and are expected to pass a comprehensive monthly written exam in preparation for becoming rabbinical authorities and community leaders.
The Halachah Kollel is funded solely from private donations.
The Kollel Halachah still has some available slots in the Yissaschar-Zevulon partnership program.
